紧急情况
学生服务 also 服务s as the referral point for emergencies encountered by students or if students need to be contacted by their families in the event of a family emergency. Issues such as messaging for emergencies while a student is in class are determined on a case-by-case basis. It is important to note that the office cannot guarantee a contact with any student due to their highly mobile behavior, but a good faith effort will be made. This service is not for non-emergency situations.

学生缺席
If a student must miss class for an emergency, or due to illness, students can submit a 学生服务 Absence Notification Form which will send an email notification to instructors from the 学生服务 Office. The email sent on behalf of the student is a courtesy notification to notify instructors of absences: the notice does not excuse the student from their class, unless stated in the class syllabus. Students are still responsible for connecting with each of their instructors regarding the course expectations as outlined in the course syllabus, specifically regarding absences 和 make up work. Documentation regarding absences will be kept on file for one year.
